KELLY GALE * Artist * Singer/Songwriter * Broadcaster
Art is such an incredible means of expression. My painting, as in my music and broadcasting career has involved decades of study, experimentation and a substantial emotional investment. I find joy in the creation of each piece of artwork that has found its way into the hearts, homes, cottages, offices and now home offices of clients. The hope is to make people smile when they look at their painting. My signature whimsical textured style is simply my interpretation of nature and of life. Over the years I have to say I am so grateful that my artwork has been featured on television programs, in magazines, newspapers and in designer window displays. I have shown my artwork in Canadian and US Galleries as well as in Europe.
Flowers...Growing up in the floral industry, I was inspired by the incredible colour and texture of petals and leaves. I now enjoy bringing the flowers to life with textured mediums and acrylics on canvas.
I moved to Thornbury a few years back and was quickly inspired by the quirky Main Street and waterfront. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy their favourite stops, shops & cafes as they come to life in my paintings.
Après Ski time at the Private Ski Clubs or at Blue Mountain Village is truly a seasonal favorite for most skiers and winter enthusiasts alike. It is also the inspiration for my "Apres Ski" themed paintings. Commissions are welcome and fun to put together with clients!
There is a whimsical magic about "The Village" at Blue Mountain. I was immediately inspired to try and bring some of that that magic onto canvas. Today, they have evolved into memory boards for families. I love to paint my own renditions of the village and also enjoy creating commissions for families of their favorite places...their memories of special times spent at this very magical place.
I truly enjoy working with The Blue Mountain Village Association doing Live Art Demo's on select weekends during the Summer and Fall months. It is such fun to engage with visitors who are excited to watch the process and share their favorite memories and places at Blue Mountain Village.
We also created small black and white postcard from one of my larger paintings and during those afternoon their team would setup a "colouring station" tent by the Firehall Pizza for a few hours where the children could sit and colour those postcards. It was really fun and the children were able to take home their creations!

Being a professional entertainer, I have been lucky enough to have travelled and performed in the most exciting locations and also allowed me the opportunity to people watch and the inspiration for my "Ladies Night Out" bar scenes. The fun is in the texture of their hair and also adding a touch of jewelry bling!
